SOUNDCHILDS PHILOSOPHY: ANTI-WAREZ
I think the focus should be on what motivates people instead of limiting their actions. The whole idea about SoundChilds actually came off while thinking of whether there would be any intelligent and resourceful method to reduce piracy over p2p and other similar networks. To find a way to motivate people to reduce illegal distribution of multimedia and software by using a natural motivator.
I believe any sanctions or digital rights management (DRM) systems won´t stop expansion of p2p networking. If you shut one system down – two other ones pop up. Its getting way out of hands nowadays and as there are no free lunches, it will soon start costing way too much for the industry to be able to support good quality stuff. I don´t think this is what none of us wants.
However much the industry would prefer to limit piratic p2p networking as it´s currently known, I believe there simply aren´t enough resources. No matter how many hackers are sentenced to "do time", there will always be more willing to fill the gap.
Is there anything we could do about it? Absolutely! I think p2p is just another way of sharing resources, if anyone claims there is no economics or profit involved, I think they are totally lost – utter fools. Economics ain´t solely about money. One can and do benefit in many other ways as well. In case of warez it's simply about the ancient way of exchanging resoreces without using money.
The SoundChilds idea regarding anti-piracy is to shake the balance of the benefits by providing the network an option for the exchanging motive. The alternative is a a fair share of the sales profits when distributing the stuff the networkers prefer to hype about.
Naturally many of the most devoted fans would hype for free as well – but is it so bad to offer them a fair compensation in addition to the joy of becoming aware of good products whether fresh multimedia, software or anything alike? I think the best way of preventing large scale warez is by giving a clear, but non-forced alternative to the motive of distributing good products just for free. In the long run everyone involved wins big time.
A dynamic network matrix, one where the static and unjust pyramid scheme downsides are cut out, is the operative solution when aiming at the above goal. Especially for new talent who would benefit most if their fans would even more eagerly hype around about new music, software, literature etc. etc. released by their admired, but yet fairly unknown idols. The distribution channel is the most natural one – the jungle drum.
A discussion thread about this is found here: SoundChilds Philosophy - Anti-Warez
All static (pyramid like) multi-level network models are unjust. They leave the majority of members without any real income potential. SoundChilds Promotion Program provides a dynamic, constantly living matrix of membership quotas, where all included members are able to aim at a decent income potential beacuse the network structure constantly changes.
Below example shows why the traditional static, multi-level profit based marketing systems always are a problem for the large majority ie. members joining at later stages.
The below graphic shows a (simplified, but mathematically holding) case by following assumptions:
- The network grows by 5 new members recruited by each member.
- The network pays commissions: 5 % at 6 levels. 1 to the members themselves +5 from levels below.
- The network grows to cover the whole global population. Note that largest currently existing networks include approximately 200 million members (at the time of writing Nov 22, 2006).

We are looking at four different kind of members, who each start to build their own "micro pyramid" consisting of 3'906 members five levels below themselves (covering levels 1 to 6).
- ONE(1): Is the founder of the pyramid. He has no problems as his personal pyramid reaches down to level 6 and the cumulative members only cover said 3906 networkers.
- TWO (2): Joins directly under member ONE. These five members also do all well as their personal pyramids reach down to level 7.
- THREE (3): Is a little more cautious but can still be regarded as an early adaptor of the idea. These kinds of members start building their personal pyramids at level 4 getting down to level 9. They still seem to have achance to succeed (gain from all levels below themselves).
- FOUR (4): Problem! This is the typical joe average who in our case represents over 80% of all networkers who have been joining at this point. Over 48 million members are joining at this level. While these people are joining at level 12, they are simultaneously trying build their personal "micro pyramids" to gain from levels 12 to 17. As you can see the whole global population becomes covered at level 15!
The only solution to above problem of the static pyramid is to create structure where the network becomes a constantly living matrix based on time limited memberships (or some other criteria re-structuring the network from time to time). Only this allows everyone to move around and upwards in the network to reach levels at which they can gain decent commissions. Very important: Once the active networking period of a promoting member ends they should be given a right to start building their new network again!
Some critics claim that a dynamic model like the above described solution, SoundChilds program (time based memberships) is unmotivating as it cuts the passive income flow when the membership period ends. If you think alike, I urge you to remember the following
- There really are no trees reaching heavens (like it always should be with static, exponetially growing viral pyramids. As none of them really can't grow endlessly, they are not even a just option).
- The smaller the network the bigger the problem.
- There really are no free lunches (aiming for passive incomes is like playing lotto, it's a loosing game for most participants while only a very few can win. Think of static pyramid founders and the very top members as casino owners while the rest are only gamblers visiting the casino - they all are only ripped off).
- Think of a dynamic model like as any normal work. This kind of a model allows each member to gain a decent amount related to their own effort during their active membership period.

Effective viral grassroot promotion is now really possible! The Internet and other new medias and especially social networking give us better network promotional tools than ever.
In most cases new, independent artists and starting entrepreneurs don´t have big promotional organisations or resources backing them when trying to break their news to the large public.
However, independent artists and like minded entrepreneurs are
- The ones keeping the business they´re involved with cool, fresh, new and interesting.
- They typically also attract trendsetting people quickly adapting to new ideas, making their products wanted by others.
- These kinds of artists and people typically have very dedicated fans who would love nothing more than to see their admired talent succeeding.
- So... Why not give the most dedicated and loyal fans a real opportunity to tell about their found new idols to the world and return the favor by giving them a decent share of profits when success comes? I think it´s only fair and the best way to promote any really cool stuff!
The success ratio! It seems to be a lot better than with other, more "traditional" marketing methods.
If your products/services are really substantial and desired from the potential buyers point of view, only the sky is the limit! Why? Well... Once you grab the basic maths about networking, you'll understand the sky part...
An example about how much more effective justified and correct networking can be when compared with other methods: Case Hotmail.
Hotmail is the best example of Viral Marketing (one branch of network marketing) on the Internet. Hotmail, a free e-mail service, was started by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith in 1996. The company was introduced to the public in July of that year. By the end of the month Hotmail had more than 20,000 subscribers. Within 4 months it had exceeded 100,000 users. In January 1997 the one millionth subscriber signed up with Hotmail. After a mere 18 months, Hotmail had signed up over 12 million subscribers. Today the number of Hotmail subscribers worldwide has exceeded 65 million. How was this phenomenal growth achieved?
Initially, each Hotmail message arrived in someone's mailbox with the words "Get your free email at Hotmail" at the bottom. By clicking on the word Hotmail, the recipient was taken to Hotmail's home page where the free e-mail service was explained. Back in 1996/1997 most computer users paid for Internet service which included one e-mail address. Hotmail gave users a chance to sign up for free multiple addresses. Another benefit of having a Hotmail e-mail address is the fact that subscribers can access their account from anywhere in the world. To many persons, there were advantages in having a Hotmail account. Therefore it was not necessary to twist someone's arm to get him or her to sign up for Hotmail's free account. People signed up by the thousands each day.
For Hotmail, this "word of e-mail" advertising or Viral Marketing was extremely cost-effective and successful. While one of Hotmail's competitor spent $20 million to attract less than half of Hotmail's subscribers, Hotmail spent only $500,000 over a 2 year period to gain 12 million subscribers. The success of this company is one reason why Microsoft bought the company.
Now... Hotmail was free and it was wanted. This brings us back to the substance. As said, if your product is competitive and desirable you have a sound basis to build on. If your product is just another piece of overpriced gadget, you should really forget about us. SoundChilds as a system offers far too many control points for a potential buyer to avoid buying garbage and rather to concentrate on really good products sold by trustworthy Artist-Sellers.
GENERAL INFORMATION ON MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING
Multi-lelvel Marketing (MLM, network marketing or NM) means a business which combines direct sales with franchising. Projects/companies active mainly over the internet -like SoundChilds- are typically called online MLM.
MLM businesses operate legally in all 50 U.S. states and more than 100 other countries.
In a legitimate MLM company, commissions are earned only on sales to the end-user, who is often also a distributor. No money may be earned from only recruiting new members (using only "sign-up fees").

SOME FINAL WORDS IF YOU THINK OF JOINING
If you have no prior or only little experience about this kind of sales work, give the FREE Entry Promotion Program Membership a try (the product becomes available at the Member Account Manager once you have signed-up as a member).
Work a little to create your referrals and you will be able to find out all by yourself whether this is your kind of an opportunity. If the results look good you might want to consider a more serious approach.
I sincerely suggest starting off by this kind of part-time work approach if you are inexperienced. Perhaps some little work a day untill you have studied the online material and seen what is going on, sent out a decent amount of referral links (somewhere around 25 is what you should consider) and done some follow-ups after a while (a few days or so). You should be well done in a few months. Consider your time a valuable resource - it´s really just like real money if used wisely.
I hope to see you around soon!
