If you would like product and pricing information, The SoundChilds Online Stores are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For order status information or other assistance with an order you have already placed you should contact the respective Artist-Seller.

The SoundChilds Online Store sells products to end user customers only.

 

3. Branded And Non-Branded Goods Back to index Back to top of page

Unless otherwise expressly noted, only products or services distributed via the artist store carrying the artist name

  • SoundChilds, SC, Chillers Unlimited, Starlight Crowd, Hot Box, MikaK, MfLI, Mike From Long Island, River or Radical Palm -as the whole artist name or as a part of a artist name- are regarded as SoundChilds Branded Products.
  • Any other products promoted/distributed via the Site should be regarded Non-SoundChilds Branded/Third-Party Products.

 

4. Delivery And Handling Of Products Back to index Back to top of page

Unless otherwise expressly noted, SoundChilds provides fully covering distribution, shipping and handling, return, repair and replacement logistics for SoundChilds Branded Products only.

Regarding Products sold by Non-SoundChilds Branded Artist-Sellers or other such Third-Party Products SoundChilds provides only the store front, payment gateway and download delivery regarding digitally distributed products. SoundChilds as an intermediate distributor does NOT handle shipping nor product repair or return logistics regarding any physical goods.

Note: If considering any substantial purchases, whether SoundChilds Branded or Non-SoundChilds Branded Products, you should especially carefully study the terms and conditions of set by actual seller regarding any shipping and delivery as well as refund, return, replacement of products prior to any commitments. If you are not satisfied with your SoundChilds purchase of a product, please contact us at our helpdesk with

  • the Subject: Return Material Authorization (RMA) Request
  • within 14 business days of the receipt of the product.

If your Return Material Authorization Request is accepted and the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it or offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned to the SoundChilds warehouse within 10 business days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. A 10% open box fee will be assessed on any opened hardware or accessory. You may be asked to provide a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) for SoundChilds to assess the 10% open box restocking fee.

Please note that SoundChilds does not permit the return of or offer refunds for the following products:

  1. Products that are custom configured or built to your specifications
  2. Opened memory
  3. Opened software
  4. Electronic software downloads or Membership Quota Products
  5. Software Up to Date Program Products (SW upgrades)

Note: SoundChilds recommends that you (1) use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns and (2) either insure your package for safe return to SoundChilds or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you choose not to (1) use a carrier that offers tracking and (2) insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.

 

6. Dead On Arrival (DOA) Product: System Failure Out of the Box Back to index Back to top of page

An SoundChilds-branded distributed hardware product is considered DOA if it shows symptoms of a hardware failure, preventing basic operability, upon its first use out of the box. If you believe that your product is DOA, please contact us at the helpdesk within 30 calendar days of the invoice date. SoundChilds Technical Support will determine whether the product is DOA and offer you the following options:

  • Replacement: The same product that you ordered will be shipped to you at SoundChilds's expense. An SoundChilds Online Store Sales Support representative will contact you within 48 hours of your email with the replacement product delivery time and the procedure for returning the DOA product.
  • Service: You may have the product repaired; however, once serviced, the product is no longer eligible for replacement.

Product must be deemed DOA by SoundChilds Technical Support within 30 calendar days of the invoice date in order to receive a replacement unit.

 

7. DOA Terms and Conditions Back to index Back to top of page

This DOA policy applies only to SoundChilds-branded hardware products currently offered at the SoundChilds Online Store. As new products are offered, SoundChilds reserves the right to determine whether or not this policy applies.

This DOA policy does not apply to third-party products that do not bear the SoundChilds brand name. You may contact the manufacturer directly with any third-party product issues.

If the product is deemed DOA by SoundChilds Technical Support more than 30 calendar days after the invoice date, SoundChilds's standard product warranty will apply.

If the product is deemed by SoundChilds Care Technical Support NOT to be DOA, SoundChilds's standard product warranty will apply.

Shipping will be arranged at SoundChilds's expense for all products determined by SoundChilds Technical Support to be DOA.

SoundChilds reserves the right to test returned DOA product. If the condition of the product is misrepresented by the customer, SoundChilds may impose a $900 handling fee.

SoundChilds Branded Products: If you discover what you believe is a product defect for any SoundChilds-branded product, please contact us at our helpdesk when such a defect, if any, is covered under the terms of your product's warranty. Please refer to the warranty information and other supporting documentation that came with your product.

The above disclaimer applies to any damages, liability or injuries caused by any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, communication line failure, theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use, whether for breach of contract, tort, negligence or any other cause of action.

SoundChilds reserves the right to do any of the following, at any time, without notice:

  • (1) to modify, suspend or terminate operation of or access to the Site, or any portion of the Site, for any reason;
  • (2) to modify or change the Site, or any portion of the Site, and any applicable policies or terms; and
  • (3) to interrupt the operation of the Site, or any portion of the Site, as necessary to perform routine or non-routine maintenance, error correction, or other changes.

Non-SoundChilds Branded/Third-Party Products: If you discover what you believe is a product defect for any third-party product, please contact the manufacturer directly for information regarding the manufacturer's warranty.

Products sold through this web site that do not bear the SoundChilds brand name are serviced and supported exclusively by their manufacturers in accordance with terms and conditions packaged with the products. SoundChilds's Limited Warranty does not apply to products that are not SoundChilds-branded, even if packaged or sold with SoundChilds products.

 

9. Electronic Software Downloads Back to index Back to top of page

Using a valid online banking account or a credit card accepted by PayPal, you can select downloadable software products for purchase at the SoundChilds Online Store. At the time of checkout, online payment gateway administrators will obtain an authorization based on personal / credit card detailsyou have provided the SoundChilds Online Store. Once payment validation has been received from the payment gateway adinistrators, you will receive instructions in the form of a link to begin downloading your software.

If the transmission is interrupted in any way during download, you can use your provided download links to begin the downloading process again. Once you complete your order, you will receive a separate email acknowledgment that provides information about your purchase.

If credit card authorization is not received, you will receive instructions for completing the process.

Please read the product information for Electronic Software Downloads carefully since software download purchases are non-refundable.

Sales tax on digital distribution: Applicable sales tax will be charged for any purchases where required by local law in the jurisdiction where the purchaser resides.

SoundChilds will send you an email confirmation of your order if you have included an email address with your order. Note: In some cases emails from addresses not included in your mailing list are filtered and automatically moved into your mailbox spam folder.

We encourage you to review your order carefully in case products are custom-configured to your specifications. Since the product is built to your specifications, the order cannot be changed, modified, or canceled once your order is in production.

Online Payment Gateways: Our primary payment gateways.

Credit Card: You may pay by credit card. At the time your order is placed, SoundChilds obtains a pre-approval from the credit card company for the amount of the order. Credit card billing occurs when your order ships.

The SoundChilds Online Store accepts credit and debit cards accepted by PayPal (typically Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards).

Note: Debit cards and check cards have daily spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of your order.

Credit Card Security Codes: The SoundChilds Online Store requires the credit card security code for your card for any online purchase. The credit card security code is an individual three- or four-digit number specific to your credit card that may be printed on the face of your card above the embossed account number (if American Express), or on the back of your card, on the signature panel (if Visa, MasterCard or Discover). Asking for and confirming your credit card's security code helps validate that you - and only you - are in the possession of your credit card and protects you from unauthorized use of your account.

SoundChilds Online Store purchases will include sales tax based on the ship-to location and the sales tax rate in effect at the time of shipping. If the sales tax rate for the location to which your order is being shipped changes before the product is shipped, the new tax rate in effect at the time of shipment will apply. The proof of purchase that SoundChilds mails to you will include any applicable sales tax.

You may place an order on behalf of a tax-exempt organization or individual. Be prepared to provide proof of state tax-exempt status for the state where the product is being shipped. The organization or individual name on the order must exactly match the state tax-exempt certificate. Federal tax exemption certificates are not accepted. Any shipping details regarding any specific products needs to be checked with the actual seller of the goods.

Note: Title and risk of loss to all products will pass to you on delivery.

The SoundChilds Online Store endeavors to offer you competitive prices on current SoundChilds products and selected refurbished and clearance products. Your total order price will include the price of the product (on the day of shipping) plus any applicable sales tax, and handling charges. SoundChilds reserves the right to change prices for products displayed at the SoundChilds Online Store at any time.

Shipping costs regarding deliveriy of physical goods is not in all cases included and needs to be checked by the actual seller of the products. Sellers are bound to clearly indicate if additional shipping costs are charged upon physical delivery. These notes are found in the detail product descriptions.

Should SoundChilds reduce its price on any shipped product within 2 calendar days of shipment, you may contact SoundChilds Sales Support at our helpdesk to request a refund or credit of the difference between the price you were charged and the current selling price. To receive the refund or credit you must contact SoundChilds within 14 business days of shipment.

Order lead time is the length of time it will take us to validate your credit card (in most cases instant), assemble the right products and package your order. Shipping time is the length of time it will take for the package to travel from our warehouse to your shipping address.

SoundChilds makes every effort to ship your product according to the estimated lead times provided by the SoundChilds Online Store at checkout. The estimated lead times are in business days (Monday through Friday) excluding Federal Reserve holidays. Lead times will begin the following business day for orders placed and credit cleared after 2 p.m. PST. Lead times quoted on the checkout page are for orders that are partially shipped - meaning items ship as soon as they are available. If you have requested a complete shipment, please add 3-4 additional days for transportation and order consolidation processing.

Although every effort is made to ship your order according to the lead time provided, shipping dates may change due to changes in supply. If the lead time changes, SoundChilds will contact you via email and provide a revised shipping estimate.

Given the popularity of some products, SoundChilds may restrict the number of such items that you may purchase. Any product limit restrictions will be posted on the SoundChilds Online Store web site. This information is subject to change.

SoundChilds endeavors to stay at the forefront of technological advancement. For this reason, SoundChilds reserves the right to discontinue products without notice.

Most products are sold at SoundChilds "AS IS", where is, and with all faults, and without express or implied warranties from SoundChilds.

Note especially about limited and third party warranties :

  • All SoundChilds branded software products, including clearance and refurbished products are sold strictly "AS IS".
  • All SoundChilds branded hardware products, including clearance and refurbished products, carry a one-year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
  • All Non-SoundChilds-branded/Third-party products are sold "AS IS", but may be accompanied by their manufacturers' standard warranties. If you have questions about any manufacturers' warranties that accompany these products, please contact the manufacturer directly.
  • SoundChilds's Limited Warranty does not apply to products that are not SoundChilds-branded, even if packaged or sold with SoundChilds products.

 

19. SoundChilds Store Software Licenses Back to index Back to top of page

Your use of SoundChilds-branded software is on the terms of the license in effect for the software at the time of purchase. You will be asked to agree to the terms of the applicable license at the time that you install the software.

  • SoundChilds is not responsible for typographic errors.
  • SoundChilds reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of sale at the SoundChilds Online Store at any time.
  • All sales at the Online SoundChilds Online Store are governed by Finnish law, without giving effect to its conflict of law provisions.
  • No SoundChilds employee or agent has the authority to vary any of the SoundChilds Online Store's policies or the terms and conditions governing any sale.
